Former Nigerian international, Samson Siasia, has urged current head coach Eric Chelle to make full use of Ademola Lookman’s set-piece skills and Tolu Arokodare’s strength and aerial presence in the upcoming must-win 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against South Africa on Tuesday.
The Super Eagles kept their hopes of qualification alive with a narrow 1-0 victory over Rwanda last Saturday.
Arokodare made an impact after coming off the bench, scoring the decisive goal in the 51st minute.
A win over Bafana Bafana at the Free State Stadium could reduce Nigeria’s points deficit to just three.
Speaking on SuperSport, Siasia said: “We need to keep the ball, win free-kicks, and allow players like Lookman to make the difference.
“Arokodare can also be important in holding up play and creating chances.”
He added: “Facing Nigeria has never been easy for South Africa, but we must have a clear plan.”
