Tunisia’s national team, known as the Carthage Eagles, began their World Cup campaign on a disappointing note after a 5–1 defeat in their opening match.

They were comfortably beaten by Sweden, with the North African side struggling defensively and failing to cope with sustained attacking pressure. Although they managed to score a consolation goal, it did little to change the overall course of a one-sided game.

The loss is a major setback for Tunisia, who are usually known for their defensive organization during qualifiers. The result has triggered criticism from fans and analysts, with attention now turning to tactical decisions and team performance.

With pressure already building, Tunisia will need a quick response in their next matches to keep their tournament hopes alive.
