Argentina’s national team captain, Lionel Messi, has shared his thoughts following Ousmane Dembele’s win of the 2025 Ballon d’Or, where the French winger edged out Barcelona’s rising star, Lamine Yamal.
Messi expressed his happiness for Dembele, extending his congratulations and support for his former Barcelona teammate.
The Inter Miami forward and Dembele previously played together at FC Barcelona, forming a bond during their time at the Spanish club.
Dembele received the prestigious award at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris on Monday, finishing ahead of Yamal, who secured second place, and Vitinha, who came third.
