Al Nassr striker Cristiano Ronaldo has come out strongly against critics who questioned Joao Felix’s transfer to the Saudi club.
Felix completed his move to Al Nassr in a deal worth £26 million, potentially rising to £43 million, after departing Chelsea during the summer.
The transfer surprised many, sparking questions about why the 25-year-old chose to join the Middle East league.
Since joining, Felix has appeared in five matches for Al Nassr, scoring a hat-trick on his debut and providing one assist.
Recently, the well-known Portuguese podcast Chuveirinho criticized Felix’s choice to leave European football for Saudi Arabia at a relatively young age.
Ronaldo responded to a clip from the podcast on Instagram, writing “Idiots don’t understand anything about football, yet they still give their opinions.”
