Former Chelsea player Pat Nevin has held Tosin Adarabioyo and Trevoh Chalobah responsible for the club’s 3-1 loss to Bayern Munich in their UEFA Champions League clash on Wednesday.

The defeat at the Allianz Arena saw Bayern secure victory with a brace from Harry Kane and an own goal by Chalobah, while Cole Palmer netted Chelsea’s only goal of the night.

Appearing on BBC Radio 5 Live after the match, Nevin voiced his disappointment with the defensive efforts of Tosin and Chalobah, arguing that their lack of control allowed Kane too much freedom during the game.

“In the big, big moments today, Kane has stood up,” Nevin said.

“He’s cruised away from the likes of Chalobah and Tosin.”

Chelsea will now shift their attention to the Premier League as they will face Manchester United in the Premier League this weekend.
