Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has responded to recent comments from Liverpool manager Arne Slot, who described Alexander Isak as the best striker in world football.
In his reply, Guardiola asserted that his own forward, Erling Haaland, is the superior striker between the two.
“Erling [Haaland] is a bit above,” Guardiola told reporters on Friday.
“Isak must be a top player because of what Liverpool paid for him, obviously.”
Guardiola, however, added that people will have different opinions on who is the best.
“Someone else will say [Kylian] Mbappe, someone [Lionel] Messi, someone Cristiano [Ronaldo],” he added.
“That’s fine, it’s a game of opinions. I would not change Erling for anyone.”
