Galatasaray head coach, Okan Buruk, has hinted that Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen may miss the Super Eagles’ upcoming World Cup qualifying match against South Africa scheduled for Tuesday.
Buruk revealed that Osimhen is currently dealing with ankle pain following an injury he picked up during Nigeria’s 1-0 win over Rwanda on Saturday.
The manager expressed disappointment over the injury, describing it as unfortunate for the reigning Turkish champions.
“If possible, we want to bring him [Osimhen] here as soon as possible and have him checked,” Buruk said on Now Spor as quoted by habersarikirmizi.
“It will be clearer tomorrow, he is in pain. He will not be able to play in the match in two days [against South Africa].
“We will see how he is. It was a shame for us,” he stated.
