Nigerian league winners Bayelsa Queens are set to face ASEC Mimosas of Côte d’Ivoire in the final of the WAFU B Women’s Champions League.
Both teams secured their spots in the final after winning their respective semi-final matches on Tuesday.
Bayelsa Queens edged out Burkina Faso’s USFA with a 2-1 victory in a tightly contested match.
USFA struck early, with Comfort Yeboah finding the net in just the second minute. However, Bayelsa Queens mounted a comeback, with Emem Essien and Seimeyeha Akekoromowei scoring to turn the game around.
In the other semi-final, ASEC Mimosas delivered a commanding performance, defeating Ghana’s Police Ladies 4-1.
The championship match is scheduled to take place on Friday at the Charles Konan Banny Stadium in Yamoussoukro.
