Rwanda’s head coach, Adel Amrouche, has finalized a 24-man squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Nigeria and Zimbabwe.
Last week, Amrouche had initially released a provisional list of 27 players for the double-header.
However, Claude Smith Kayinbanda, Djabilu Ishimwe, and David Niyo did not make the final cut.
The Amavubi began their training camp for the vital qualifiers on Monday.
On Tuesday morning, 20 players departed from Kigali International Airport en route to Lagos, with plans to continue their journey to Uyo later in the evening.
Four players — Phanuel Kavita, Bonheur Mugisha, Jojea Kwizera, and Clement Buhake — are expected to link up with the squad directly in Uyo.
Rwanda currently sit second in Group C with eight points after six matches.
They are set to face Nigeria’s Super Eagles in a matchday seven clash on Saturday at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
