Scott Parker has left his position as Burnley manager with immediate effect, following the club’s relegation from the Premier League.
The decision was made by mutual agreement after discussions between Parker and Burnley’s leadership, with both sides concluding that a change was the best step forward after a disappointing season.
Burnley confirmed the departure shortly after their relegation was secured with a 1–0 loss to Manchester City, which confirmed their drop to the Championship.
Parker had been appointed in July 2024 and initially enjoyed success, guiding Burnley to promotion from the Championship in impressive fashion. However, the step up to the Premier League proved difficult, with the team struggling throughout the season and ultimately going down.
Assistant coach Mike Jackson has been placed in temporary charge while the club begins the process of finding a new permanent manager ahead of the next season.
Burnley are now expected to rebuild in the Championship, aiming to stabilize quickly and push for a return to the top flight.
