Golden Eaglets head coach, Manu Garba, has stated that his side will push for victory in their second group fixture against Burkina Faso at the WAFU B U-17 Championship.

The five-time world champions kicked off their campaign with a dominant 4-1 win over Benin Republic on Wednesday.

Burkina Faso also claimed victory in their opener, narrowly defeating Benin 1-0.

Both Nigeria and Burkina Faso have already sealed their spots in the semi-finals.

However, the battle for the top spot in the group is still underway.

Garba emphasized that his players are fully focused on claiming all three points against the Baby Stallions.

“We are here to play every match according to the laws of the game, but most importantly, we want to try as much as possible to win the match against Burkina Faso,” he told a press conference in Yammosoukro.
