Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk has stated that the club will assess Victor Osimhen’s condition before determining whether he will feature in their upcoming clash with Liverpool.
Osimhen made a brief appearance in the team’s 1-0 victory over Alanyaspor on Friday night, marking his return after missing three matches due to an ankle injury picked up during international duty earlier this month.
Despite rejoining the squad, the striker is reportedly still dealing with discomfort.
“We will closely evaluate his pain and physical condition before deciding on his involvement in the next match,” the coach was quoted as saying by Turkish news outlet Reformhaber.
Galatasaray are set to host Liverpool at Rams Park in their second Champions League group-stage match next Tuesday.
