Nigeria’s Chiamaka Nnadozie has been ranked the fourth-best women’s goalkeeper in the world, according to the latest Ballon d’Or Yashin Trophy results.
The award ceremony took place on Monday in Paris, where Chelsea and England shot-stopper Hannah Hampton was crowned the top goalkeeper.
Nnadozie, who currently plays for Brighton & Hove Albion in England, secured the fourth position in the final standings.
The Yashin Trophy, which is part of the Ballon d’Or awards, recognizes the most outstanding female goalkeeper globally.
Germany’s Ann-Katrin Berger, representing Gotham FC, claimed second place, while Barcelona’s Cata Coll came in third. Arsenal’s Daphne van Domselaar rounded out the top five.
Nnadozie has delivered stellar performances for both club and country. She played a crucial role in helping Nigeria lift the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Prior to her move to the English league, she had a successful run with Paris FC in France, where she was named the 2024 UNFP Goalkeeper of the Season and also won the Coupe de France Féminine.
