Former Liverpool striker Michael Owen has hailed Ryan Gravenberch as one of the top midfield talents globally.

Owen believes the Dutch international has developed into a player worth £100 million.

Gravenberch initially signed for Liverpool from Bayern Munich for £34.3 million but found it difficult to make an impact under then-manager Jurgen Klopp.

However, under the guidance of Arne Slot last season, the 23-year-old made significant progress and was instrumental in Liverpool’s successful Premier League title campaign.

The midfielder has carried that momentum into the new season, recently scoring a stunning goal in Liverpool’s 2-1 victory over Everton on Saturday.

“He is seriously talented, he could do anything,” Owen told Premier League Productions.

“I look around the world at the moment and think, ‘who is performing better than him?’, I don’t see many at all.

“I think he is one of the finds of the last season or so.

“Bayern Munich, they must be scratching their heads thinking, ‘wow, why have we let him go?’, because he can be absolutely anything.

Liverpool played out a 2-1 win over Everton to maintain their hundred percent start to the new season.
