Turkish football analyst, Mehmet Demirkol, has emphasized that Galatasaray struggles significantly without star forward Victor Osimhen in the lineup.
Demirkol made the remarks while discussing the crucial role the Nigerian striker plays within the squad.
Osimhen is currently recovering from an ankle ligament injury he picked up during his time with the Super Eagles on international duty.
The 26-year-old might be available for Galatasaray’s Champions League clash against Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday, after sitting out the team’s most recent Super Lig match.
During an appearance on the Socrates Magazine YouTube channel, Demirkol stated, as cited by habersarikirmizi:
“When Galatasaray doesn’t have both Osimhen and Barış Alper, it is a problem.
“Serious problems arise during starts and pressures. You need to play something else.”
In the meantime, Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk has already shared the latest update on Osimhen’s fitness ahead of Thursday’s Champions League fixture against Frankfurt.
