Liverpool manager Arne Slot has opted to leave forward Alexander Isak out of the squad for Sunday’s Premier League clash away at Burnley.

Slot has kept faith with the same starting eleven that secured a 1-0 victory over Arsenal in their previous outing.

Jeremie Frimpong, who has recovered from injury, is included among the substitutes.

The Reds head into the match aiming to maintain their flawless start to the season, having won all three of their opening fixtures. A win at Turf Moor would see them leapfrog Arsenal to reclaim top spot on the table, following the Gunners’ 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Burnley, meanwhile, have made two adjustments to their lineup, with Loum Tchaouna and Josh Laurent stepping into the starting XI.

Liverpool Starting XI: Alisson; Van Dijk, Konate, Kerkez; Wirtz, Szoboszlai, Mac Allister; Salah, Gakpo, Ekitike, Gravenberch.
Burnley Starting XI: Dubravka; Walker, Hartman, Esteve, Ugochukwu; Foster, Anthony, Tchaouna, Ekdal, Cullen, Laurent.
