Werder Bremen are currently in discussions with Bayer Leverkusen over a potential loan move for striker Victor Boniface.
According to Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg, Bremen have already made contact with Leverkusen to negotiate the transfer.
Boniface was close to joining AC Milan last week, but the Italian club reportedly withdrew from the deal due to concerns regarding the player’s fitness.
Although the forward resumed training recently, he was not included in Leverkusen’s squad for their recent 3-3 draw against Bremen.
Bremen are actively seeking attacking reinforcements following a poor start to their campaign, having failed to secure a win in their first three matches across all competitions.
