Junior Nduka, captain of the home-based Super Eagles, has finalized a permanent move to Erbil FC in Iraq.
The defender signed a three-year deal with the Iraqi outfit, making the switch from Remo Stars, the reigning champions of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
His departure follows a series of exits from Remo Stars, including Kayode Bankole, Sikiru Alimi, Franck Mawuena, Fabian Nworie, and Seun Ogunribide.
Nduka was instrumental in guiding the Sky Blue Stars to their league triumph last season.
He is widely recognized for his composure on the pitch and strong leadership qualities.
The centre-back also featured in every minute of Nigeria’s three matches at the 2024 African Nations Championship.
