Ex-England midfielder Owen Hargreaves has spoken highly of Nigeria’s Alex Iwobi, expressing his admiration for the Fulham star.

Hargreaves praised the former Everton player while urging Fulham to bolster their forward options by bringing in a right-sided attacker during the summer transfer window.

The London club is reportedly considering moves for AC Milan’s Samuel Chukwueze and FC Basel’s Philip Otele, who can play across the front line.

Speaking on Premier League Productions after Fulham’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Sunday, Hargreaves shared his thoughts on the team’s attacking needs.

The former Manchester United and Bayern Munich midfielder said, “At the start of the game, they looked too passive, showed Manchester United too much respect.

“But one thing he has is one of the most experienced teams in the division. They hang in there and try to get a result, like they did against Brighton last week.

“I just feel they need another winger. I love Robinson and Iwobi on the left channel, two exceptional athletes. Maybe somebody off that right-hand side that can score some goals.”

Fulham’s next game is a London derby against Chelsea at the weekend.
